What to expect
the DAY of YOUR SESSION
• Arrive at 9:00 a.m. with your outfits, shoes, accessories & ID. We’ll take care of the rest! Plan to be done with your photoshoot at 12:30 when you'll rest for about 30 minutes in the studio while I prep your images (we have a small snack station, but bring your own if you'd like).
• You do not need to arrive early as we are likely preparing for your session.
• Late arrivals may reduce your time in front of the camera.
• Please do not arrive with anyone else. This is YOUR day and we want to focus SOLELY on you!
• Arrive with clean face and body as well as clean, dry hair.
• Wear loose clothing (loose dress, robe or yoga pants). Avoid anything that will leave indentations on your skin, such as tight underwear, bras, jeans or socks. Robes or button-ups are great to arrive in because you can change out of them without messing up that gorgeous hair and makeup!
• Use Clear Deodorant.
• Moisturize your skin heavily all over.
• Drink plenty of water, eat a good breakfast and bring some snacks.
• During your shoot, we will show you exactly what to do and how to pose. We will tell you exactly what to do with your hands and face. You don’t need to practice posing! We will make you look fabulous no matter what.
• Take a deep breath and relax. It’s normal to feel nervous before a boudoir shoot. But don’t worry - you are in great hands and we will be with you every step of the way.
after your shoot
Pack up all your things and feel free to take them out to your car while you wait.
You'll hang out at the studio or in your car relaxing (or taking care of phone stuff) while I get your images ready for viewing in our ordering space!
after your break
You’ll come back into our cozy ordering area where the magic really happens. Here, you’ll get to see around 200 images—both in color and in black and white—up on the screen.
The very first time you see them, prepare yourself… because you’re going to be in total AWE. Absolute, jaw-dropping awe. Most of my clients say things like, “That doesn’t even look like me!” or “Are you sure that’s me?” or even “I’ve never seen myself this way before.” And my personal favorite: “Now I finally understand why my partner tells me I’m beautiful.” That’s honestly the best part of the whole process—watching you see yourself the way everyone else already does.
Once you’ve taken it all in, we’ll have you decide whether you prefer your images in color or black and white. From there, I’ll walk you through all of our beautiful products, showing you samples of albums, wall art, and all the little goodies that bring your session to life. You’ll get to touch them, flip through them, and imagine how your own images will look in those keepsakes.
After we’ve looked at the products, we’ll come back to your images and go through them again—this time narrowing them down until we land on your absolute favorites. When you’ve chosen the ones you can’t live without, we’ll move on to customizing your album options and wall art.
Once your order is finalized and paid for, we’ll take about 7 days to fully retouch and polish your images to perfection. Then, we’ll send everything off to our professional labs. Your finished products—whether it’s albums, wall art, or both—usually arrive within 4–6 weeks, ready for you to cherish forever.
