Choosing Outfits

This can feel like such an overwhelming, daunting task! But it doesn't have to be. Don't worry about finding the "perfect" outfits for your session. Because honestly - YOU are the focus, not your clothing.

However, choosing your outfits is an important part of the process. Your outfits will determine the style of your shoot. Scroll on down to see different styles and find one(s) that you like! Always pick styles/outfits that reflect YOU! If lingerie isn’t you, maybe “girl next door” is more your style. But it's best to mix and match styles - after all - isn't a boudoir session about stepping outside your comfort zone anyway?

I usually suggest bringing a few extras and I’ll help you choose the best 3-4 outfits.

We’ve got a studio closet stocked with plenty of options—enough to dress just about anyone who walks through the door. So whether shopping for outfits sounds fun or makes you want to curl up in the fetal position, we’ve got you covered.

There’s a little bit of everything in there—lingerie, bodysuits, cozy sweaters, and a few fun extras—so you’re sure to find something that fits your style.

These are just a few examples of what you’ll be able to choose from!

There are so many ways to make your session uniquely yours. ✨ I encourage you to think about what’s meaningful to you—there’s no need to bring something just for the sake of it. But if it holds importance, bring it along—it will add a personal touch and make your images even more special.

Here are a few fun ways past clients have thought outside the box. What would you love to include?

stilettos

If you do not normally wear them, DO NOT BUY THEM. I have them at the studio. If you have your own, great! Bring them!

What works best? TALL heels, POINTED toes, STRAPLESS. If you have some favorite pairs that aren't those, bring them and we'll use what we can!

We also have our LUXE closet options for an additional $199 - they include one of our own pieces of lingerie to take home after your shoot, access to our Vicki's Wings and Couture Robes. Please let us know if you'd like to choose our LUXE closet as an add-on to YOUR session!

A message from the heart

I know trying on outfits can be discouraging. Afterall, we are trying to overcome our own pre-conceived ideas about ourselves. What worse way to do that than to look in the mirror?!?! The world's least flattering angle!!!

Our goal at Boudoir Defined is to make sure it is as easy as possible for a woman to book a Boudoir Session with our studio. This means that if you find looking for lingerie COMPLETELY overwhelming, let us take care of that part. We can take pretty much any woman off the street and dress her for her entire session, so if it is just too much, we got you. Don't even worry about it.

But hear me out.

There is something magical that happens when your brain connects what you saw in the mirror with what you see in the photos. A light bulb comes on when you realize that you actually look FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC in that piece you were so concerned about. Another wall gets knocked down in that revelation and you continue building the bridge to loving yourself a little more today than you did yesterday.
